If you've heard about modern rock, then the name of Steve Vai should be no news for you, as he's one of the greatest guitar players in modern history. Now, it's quite possible that you didn't know that Carvin is one of the top-shelf names in the guitar amplifier industry also endorsing Steve Vai. Nevertheless, you'll now learn that it has created a special guitar amps series, called Legacy, especially for Steve Vai and according to his specs. And that happened years ago. Now, it's time to welcome the second generation of Carvin Legacy amps, bearing the same signature of Vai, and promising an even better performance. The Carvin Steve Vai Legacy II series comprises four pieces: a combo amplifier, a guitar head amp, and two 4x12 cabinets. If you're the traveling guitarist kind, constantly moving from place to place and don't have a big van to lorry your gear, you might want to go for the VL2122 Legacy Combo, sporting a massive 100W all-tube power that will shake your venue, loaded with dual 12'' Celestion speakers for total tonal bliss. However, if you want to go big, you should get your hands on the VL2100 Legacy II head, packing the same power specs like the combo amp, but being easier to carry with you. Moreover, in case you're looking to get as close as possible to Vai's tone, then the two cabinets are waiting for you to rock. They both come with 4x12'' driver arrays, boasting the same high-class Celestion speakers and being capable of putting up blasting SPL, which will let you shake the last row of the venue when playing. On the tech side, the Carvin Steve Vai Legacy II bring the legendary Carvin handcrafted details, with vintage and refined looks. The MKII Legacy amps have gotten a third channel, for a boosted clean tone that will dramatically expand you tonal expressions' palette, while letting you roam free from smooth and cheesy clean timbres down to a rocking grit and up to the high-gain searing lead sounds.
