today's my mom's b-day :D

This One Night [Chapter 5]
[Nick's P.O.V.]
It's been a few days since the run into that girl, who the guy working there, also her brother (Robert) told us her name was Erica...turns out Kevin's gonna be a father. This put all three of us into a panic. Kevin especially, he's just...completely shut down. Joanna postponed the wedding, noticing that something was up with Kevin. Joe and I have been trying to get through to him but he's so focused on finding this girl. Tried asking her brother, he was so pissed off at Kevin he nearly killed him, so that wasn't helpful. Joe and I tried asking him but another worker there told us he was fired.
So, here we all were again, back where we were 5 months ago, worrying that one of our biggest secrets would be leaked to the press, and that would be it, our career would be ruined.
I honestly, didn't know how to react to everything. I couldn't keep lying to Anna, I knew I couldn't. But I knew I couldn't lose her, it would kill me. So, to help me get my mind off all my worries, I surprised her by picking her up right from work and taking her to this fancy restaurant that she loves in town.
I pulled up to her office building and saw her walking out, I honked the horn as she was digging through her bag and she looked up. She saw me in the car and smiled, damn, I loved that smile so much. She quickly got into the car and kissed me.
"Hi sweetie. What are you doing here?" she asked. I couldn't help but smile, she made me happy.
"I came to surprise you." Her facial expression became confused and I laughed to myself.
"Surprise me? Why?"
"Because I love you and wanted to. Is that wrong?"
"Well, no. It's just...different."
"Is different good?" I asked, guilt made knots in my stomach, she didn't know did she?
"Yes, different is very good." She kissed my cheek. I sighed in relief to myself as I drove off.
"I'm glad you decided to surprise me actually, I wasn't in the mood to take the bus today." She said as I was driving past the bus stop. I nodded, not paying attention much, just focusing on the road. For the rest of the ride she bugged me about where we were going, then as she was looking out the window she got all excited realizing where I was taking her.
She was like a little kid, she loved simple things, that probably one of the main reasons I fell in love with her. She was so down-to-earth, and beautiful, can't forget that.
I pulled into the valet of the restaurant and we walked into small building. All the lights were dimmed. Lit candles and a single red rose in a vase were on every table. It smelled like Italian food, and everything felt so romantic. The hostess came up to us with a very peppy smile on her face. Then she took a good look at who I was and her jaw dropped. "Oh my God! YOU--" she stopped herself and cleared her throat. I heard Anna laughing and I laughed to myself as well. The hostess put back on her smile and fiddled with the menus in her hand, "Follow me." she said in a rush. I looked at Anna and laughed with her again as we walked to a table in the back of the place. The hostess was already gone. It was funny how much my fans got star struck. But, I have to say, I do love my fans, if Anna wasn't one of them, I would have never fallen in love with her. I still remember that look on her face when I asked her out the first time.
I looked up at her remembering and chuckled quietly. She looked up from the menu, confused.
"What so funny?" I smiled slyly in reply. "Okay then..." she gave me a suspicious look.
Our dinner continued with light conversation, it was good to finally have some time alone together before the tour. That was the one thing I hated about this career, not much free time.
Once we left, it was dark out. There was a beach nearby and she told me she didn't want to go home just yet, so we went there. We walked onto the boardwalk and just stared at the ocean.
"You know, I think you just might be the most perfect boy I've ever met." She said looking up at me. I looked down as I blushed, then back up with a smile on my face. She just smiled back at me. There was a moment there, when our eyes just locked.
"I love you." I said suddenly and she didn't break her stare when she replied.
"I love you too." She kissed me and I was positive at that moment that what happened that one night, was going to have to remain a dirty little secret. It had to be if I didn't want to break her heart.
