IN MEMORY of BIG DAVE DAVID MCCONNELL
1958 - 2008 PASSED OVER JUNE 2nd 2008. I LOVE YOU BABE ! You were and are still one of the BEST ! Dave and myself, filmed EARLY 80's at Love Chevrolet in Sacramento. Dave wrote the jingle, I set up the commercial contracts and went along with him to say what they instructed me to when we arrived on set. Three out of five takes are on this clip. We had a great time that day even though the temperature was over 103 degrees and I was completely melting by the second take. The heat just radiated like fire in the air off of the cars and pavement around us. You could see the heat waves in the air. The truck that I am sitting on was SO VERY HOT also! Country and radio talk show host and DJ Joey Mitchell from Sacramento appears in some of the commercials with us also. Nothing to do with the paranormal life these days... but we had a lot of fun back in those days doing tv talk shows, commercials, and entertainment for several various business' and events. So I thought I'd drag this out of the ARCHIVES and share it with you.
AFTER all the takes were done and the producer said, "Ok, it's a wrap, great"! and the commercials were airing, David and I realized that he had his hat on backwards the whole time we were filming. I asked him why is 'front' brim of his hat was so DARN WIDE - LOL ! We never said a thing about it to the producer or public, and they never new the difference. LOL ! ;) Sorry for the really horrid and bad quality, surprised that the tape even still plays. Also my TV has that darn dark traveling stripe on it when I try to transfer these from the TV onto video via the camera. Anyone know WHY it happens ? Drop me a line if so, please inform me ! Transferred from a 20 plus year old tape that I was very surprised to even find still around. Had forgotten all about those crazy days lately.
