The creativity of Cristina Ferrari has been profoundly influenced by Brazil. Fascinated by the sensuality, the colours and the magic of this land, she has created a line of beachwear in which, more than any other sector, she can infuse the aggressive physicality of this country, to which she often returns to draw new inspiration.
At the beginning of the 90s she created the first models of Fisico beachwear. Her work is divided between Turin, home of CRISFER srl., which owns the FISICO and FISICHINO brands, Milan, where the promotion and sale of the collections is largely concentrated, and Bergamo. Here, in an area historically linked to the finest know-how in this specific sector, we can find the workshop where the prototypes and samples are produced and whence the actual production process is controlled, this latter being almost exclusively outsourced. By offering comfortable clothing with a distinctive personality and paying particular attention to fashion elements, anticipating and promoting new tendencies, the Fisico brand has won both the appreciation of the experts in this sector and the favour of the public.
Behind its naturalness and originality lies a highly-refined, exclusive choice: the introduction of the idea of pret-à-porter on the beach, a place that had never been much considered from the point of view of fashion.
In fact, if an interest in fashion stems from the desire to please oneself, to please others and to show oneself to best advantage through the clothes one wears, a context such as the beach had previously been underexploited, except in rather hackneyed ways. Great elegance, quality and style, therefore, had to be the characterizing elements of the beachwear line, which was aimed at those consumers who were interested in pret-à-porter fashion, in the new tendencies and in the distinctiveness of the product.
