"Annie" shares stories about her relationship with and serenades her show-biz mentor George Burns.
"Guest (YouTube video) appearance" by Joe Namath, who appeared with A-M in the movie C.C. and Company (1970).
Trivia buffs, go wild--which came first: Namath as C.C. Ryder or Namath as "sick" Bobby Brady's NFL football hero in "The Brady Bunch"? Er, ahem...
Second video of two linking Ann-Margret with her dear friend George Burns (1896-1996). Clips in this video derive from the George Burns TV Specials "80 Years in Show Business" (1983) and "90th Birthday Party" (1986), respectively. Actor John Forsythe hosts on both occasions.
In her autobiography MY STORY (1994), A-M wrote: "I couldn't have wished for a better mentor than George Burns. He was professional, bright, funny, and, above all else, kind, generous, helpful, and really sensitive to people's feelings. He truly respected women."
Additional music featured in this video: excerpts from the songs "Lovie Joe" [Cook/Jordan], recorded by Ann-Margret for RCA on March 6, 1961, and "Moon River" [Mancini/Mercer], recorded by A-M on November 29, 1961, in Nashville, TN. The latter song (and recording session) was co-produced by country-music legend Chet Atkins.
